Anna-Lena Thiele is a Senior Project Manager in the Higher Education Research unit at CHE. Her work focuses on permeability between vocational and academic education (including studying without a general/university entrance qualification, continuing academic education, and dual study programmes). She has several years of professional experience in the education sector, particularly in conducting empirical analyses and monitoring third-party funded projects.
Anna-Lena Thiele has been part of the CHE team since 2016. Prior to joining CHE, she worked as a research project officer at MOZAIK, a non-profit organisation providing intercultural education and counselling services.
She studied Sociology (B.A.) at the University of Duisburg-Essen and completed a Master’s degree in Sociology and Empirical Social Research (M.Sc.) at the University of Cologne. She is a member of the German Society for Higher Education Research (GfHf), the German Association for Continuing Higher Education and Distance Learning (DGWF), and the German Evaluation Society (DeGEval).
