Dr Isabel Roessler is a Senior Project Manager at CHE. Her main areas of work include higher education institutions’ third mission—especially knowledge transfer—social responsibility, social innovation, innovation ecosystems and higher education development.
Dr Roessler has been working at CHE since 2007. Prior to that, she was a member of staff at the Faculty of Social Sciences at Ruhr University Bochum.
She studied social sciences at Ruhr University Bochum, specialising in “Economy and Associations”, and completed her degree with a thesis on the introduction of knowledge management in higher education teaching through e-learning platforms. She earned her PhD part-time at TU Dortmund, focusing on whether universities of applied sciences have the potential to become “Mode 3” universities.
