CHE Hochschulranking 2017/2018 published in new ZEIT Study Guide

Students assess their study conditions in the latest CHE University Ranking, which is published today in the ZEIT Study Guide 2017/18. One third of all subjects are reassessed each year. Those re-evaluated this year were Business Administration, Law, Economics, Social Work, Business Computing, Industrial Engineering, Business Law and Economic Sciences.

Over 300 universities and universities of applied sciences, more than 2,700 faculties, in excess of 10,000 degree programmes, over 30 subjects and how their students assess them: the CHE University Ranking offers a comprehensive and sound source of information for prospective students from the German-speaking area. A wide range of criteria are applied, and may differ depending on the subject concerned.

Frank Ziegele, Executive Director of the CHE Centre for Higher Education: “The range of degree programmes on offer is almost overwhelming, and the criteria applied by prospective students when choosing an HEI differ considerably. Who offers comprehensive support to first-year students? Where can I expect to receive excellent supervision? Which HEI has good contacts to the world of work? The CHE University Ranking helps prospective students to find the ideal degree programme.”

Martin Spiewak, Editor-in-Chief of the ZEIT Study Guide: “In addition to the ranking, a whole host of background information, personal accounts and advice provided in the study guide help all those interested in embarking on a degree programme to make an informed choice.”

The ZEIT Study Guide 2017/18 is now available from retailers for €8.95.

The CHE University Ranking is the most comprehensive and detailed ranking in the German-speaking world. In addition to providing facts about academic studies, teaching and equipment, the ranking also features students’ opinions about study conditions at their HEI. By applying numerous interactive search options, users can adapt the online ranking to their individual study needs to find the right higher education institution. ZEIT CAMPUS ONLINE acts as a central port of call for students seeking guidance on all kinds of matters related to higher education and careers.
